easter drawings

my family once more.

i use paper (40x25cm) and black markers (my favourite: Faber-Castell PITT artist pen S,F,M and B, they are great for paper as well as canvas!) to do the drawings, then scan them and play with photoshop.

a little tribute

it is an illustration by marek raczkowski called 'devil'. i couldn't find the one that was my inspiration but you can easily get the idea of what kind of illustrator he is.

marek raczkowski is a quite popular illustrator in poland whose illustrations are published in the most popular weekly 'przekroj' it is, let say, newsweek like. once i was asked to do some products promoting an exhibition. so i chose him supposing it might be fun doing it. and it was. playing with one of his illustrations i sewed the character dolls and made a paper house for them. but the stories they created on their own as distinctive personalities do.

here they go: helpless mum, drinking dad, grumpy grandad, fanatic grandmum and a brat

a couple mood barometre

it is an object that looks like a double painting. if a couple have problems then they can keep only one connection point, if they are happy together then they can fasten all the snaps. of course there are many options in between. thanks to that they can keep updated with their couple mood and at the same time hava a different piece of art everyday. it is quite boring for the happily-ever-after couples, though, as they don't ever change it. one thing is really cool- if you split up, each of you gets one piece. no additional fights. moreover, from the very start you and your partner can choose colour for your half. remember! you should hang it in a spacious corridor or room as it might take some space when you both get in trouble. 70x70 cm.

country dogs

it is a series devoted to nationalities. each nationality gets a dog with the most distinctive features like character, colour, a background flower or just something i thought might go well with the idea.
