i asked an assistant at Academy of Fine Arts what he was painting, he said:

well...there are trees, bushes, grass, street lamps, there is a man, we can hardly see his face, i painted that all, and there is no action, nothing is happening, but there are interesting formal manipulations.

then he asked me the same question, and i said: sea, people, a lot of people, sometimes a crocodile or bird, i want to make life look and feel better and i would like to keep it and live it.

how big are you paintings, he asked. getting bigger and bigger, i answered.
